Sky high giraffes

It was a sunny Saturday morning. Jamie was getting ready to go to work. She has an extraordinary job, she teaches giraffes how to dive. There is loads of  different levels. Jamie teaches the elite group. Today they were doing  their huge  show.

Once Jamie arrived at the amazing diving pools she ran straight to the giraffes pens. “Hey guys are you ready for the big show tonight.” She went and unlocked all the giraffes heavy metal doors. One by one they slowly crept out there cages. As soon as Jamie was finished she quickly  walked to the front where Luna was silently standing. Luna is the big  leader of the group , she is also the oldest.  Next Jamie tied a lead around her  because sometimes as they walk up the ramp to the cool diving boards Luna can get a bit too excited about jumping in so Jamie has to tie a lead around her so she doesn’t sprint like a cheetah chasing its delicious pray.

Finally as they reached the top of the super tall ramp they started warming up. Luna went first , she did a few bounces then woosh she did a triple front half twist. Slowly the line started getting less and less until it was down to only George. He’s the youngest in the group at only 2 years old. He can get very nervous if he knows he has to do well. George quietly marched forward until  all of a sudden he stopped .  Zoom and he was away with an outstanding  quarter turn triple back. Now that they had each done an awesome warm up dive they could go get a fresh drink of water.

Slowly people  started walking  in and sitting down getting ready for the amazing show.  Once they were done drinking, the giraffes jogged back up the  tall ramp while luna stayed with Jamie.Out of nowhere a tall  man walked out. It was Gary the boss of the pool.” Hi guys how's it going, would you like any help. I can go get the  equipment for the trapeze if you like.”  “ oh yes please.” Jamie replied with a huge smile on her face.

In 5 minutes he came back carrying a big load of equipment. First Jamie grabbed the hoist off him, she quickly put it around Luna. Next she grabbed the long  bar Luna will hang off.  Suddenly Luna decided she was ready to go up to the platform  where she will start.  That was fine by Jamie  because she was about to take Luna up.  Soon when they reached the top Jamie clipped the hard,  long  rope on the roof so Luna could not fall off.

By now the whole room was full of strangers staring waiting for the show to start. “And go ! “  Luna speedly jumped out to the rope rotating half way round till she was hanging off the bar from her amazing long legs. Now they were ready… the show could start. Zoom zoom zoom giraffes went flying everywhere. In half an hour the outstanding show was over.  Now all Jamie had to do was put the giraffes away and feed them there deliciously yummy food and drinks.  “What a great night. “
