Why you should do Gymnastics speech
Have you ever wanted to be able to do really cool flips and tricks ? well if you have you should give Gymnastics a go.
Hi im Emma and today im here to convince you why Gymnastics is the best sport to join. Firstly its fun and a great place to make new friends and be honest who doesn't love having loads of friends.
You also have the added bonus for parents...it gets you OFF your devices. But in saying that, that's where my epic journey really began, by watching gymnastics on you tube. I decided that I would love to be able to do all these cool tricks so I begged my parents to let me join, let me tell you it took some convincing but after a while they let me join and its the best thing I've ever done.
Secondly, gymnastics is the best sport to join if you want to join if you want to get strong, my group spends a lot of time working on conditioning to make us toned and fit. Also for you boys who think its only for us girls think again. Zealand has many males that have competed in the commonwealth games and Olympics. It takes discipline and dedication to push your body to its limits. Its not all handstands and cartwheels either, there are many different apparatus such as beam ,bar, floor, pommel horse ,vault and many more. gymnastics is also great for your mind, to do well at it you need to focus, which is helpful in other areas in your life.
Thank you for listening to my speech, i hope I have persuaded you to give Gymnastics a go.

My whanau story
Jamie Cockburn’s history !
Jamie is an ordinary boy he likes Basketball and Cricket. He is super kind and funny. He has had some bad things happen in his life, this is one of them.
It was a stormy evening when Jamie was heading to McDonalds to get a delicious double cheese burger. All of a sudden boom boom boom , thunder and lightning striked . Sadly it hit his car , it slid across the road and smashed into another car and damaged it badly. Jamie fell asleep
It was the next day when he woke up to a shock. He was in the Christchurch hospital. He had bandages wrapped around his head which he didn't like. So he jumped out of the uncomfortable bed and unclipped all the weird gadgets attached to him and sprinted like a cheetah chasing its prey. As he was running weird things started to happen , his eyes turned to and evil purple and his skin turned bubbly green. His hands started to shake until all of a sudden they striked bright lightning out of them. As he kept sprinting he striked at tall buildings , planes , cars and even people. He destroyed them all. In total 214 people were killed. But slowly as he kept running he got weaker and weaker. His eyes faded back to an beautiful ocean blue and his skin back to pale. He stopped running as he ran out of breath. Jamie lay down as he realized what he had just done. Tears started rolling down his eyes like rain pouring down the window on a cloudy day. Slowly he walked back to his house and went to bed. Now 5 years later he is the best basketballer in history.
